The Region Wine Lounge at Hotel SLO transformed approximately 1,200 square feet in the easternmost corner of the basement, into a modern wine tasting lounge. The renovated space features a series of self-serve wine dispensing stations, a stylish bar area, comfortable seating, and a dedicated sales and retail zone. Accessibility was prioritized with ADA-compliant ramps and landings, while the design incorporated energy-efficient lighting, advanced HVAC systems, and upgraded plumbing to support amenities such as a mop sink, hand sink, dishwasher, and restroom facilities. The project also included new storefront roll-up doors and fire-rated entryways to enhance both safety and aesthetics.
BMA’s scope included providing mechanical engineering services for air distribution and ventilation, designing energy-efficient HVAC systems, and extending plumbing infrastructure to support new fixtures. The team also delivered Title 24 energy compliance consulting and documentation for envelope and fenestration upgrades, ensuring the project met California’s sustainability standards. Additionally, BMA supported agency review and construction administration to facilitate project approval and smooth execution.
