BMA Mechanical’s scope for the Santa Maria Truck Center encompasses the full design and engineering of the mechanical and plumbing systems for this 39,750-square-foot, two-story facility. BMA provided comprehensive HVAC solutions, including high-efficiency rooftop units, energy recovery ventilators, and advanced controls to ensure occupant comfort, indoor air quality, and compliance with California Title 24 energy standards.
The plumbing design includes domestic water, sanitary waste, storm drainage, compressed air, and natural gas systems, all coordinated for the building’s diverse functions—ranging from sales offices and retail areas to service bays, parts storage, and specialty spaces like the dynamometer and steam clean area. BMA’s work also covers detailed specifications for equipment selection, seismic bracing, insulation, and system testing, as well as integration with the building’s structural and architectural elements.
