BMA Mechanical+ partnered with Rachlin Partners to support major modernization and new construction projects at Santa Maria High School. The work included a new approximately 90,000-square-foot, 50-classroom building and the conversion of the existing administration building into nine classrooms with staff, office, storage, and support spaces.
BMA provided mechanical, plumbing, Title 24 energy compliance, DSA review support, and construction administration services. For the historically significant administration building, the team designed new systems that preserved the building’s architectural character while adding air conditioning and improving comfort, ventilation, and energy performance. High-efficiency heat-recovery VRF systems paired with dedicated outdoor air systems provided a flexible, space-conscious solution for the renovated and newly constructed learning spaces.
